We’re still a month away from the official summer season launch … but following a huge effort by the Trail Crew, 95% of Buller’s trails are already up and running. (Everything but Stonefly and the bottom half of Epic). So it’s time to dust off the bike, escape town, and ride the high country!
We’re very proud to report that in her final year of school representative skiing, our very own Yolanda Fulton-Richmond has gone out with a bang. She qualified for the Nationals with a couple of fourth places – in the Giant Slalom and Skiercross – and then found some additional speed on a more demanding Buller course to earn two third places in the main event – her first podium finishes at the Australian Interschools. Well done Yolanda!
Thirty years after the initial release, the classic ILTIS windcheater is back! And not just windcheaters, but various hoodies and t-shirts too – in heaps of different colour combinations and a full range of sizes. To get your hands on some of it, click here.
Special thanks to Laura Schnerring for making this happen, and for recreating Rainer’s iconic original artwork.
Ride High Country is a fantastic new website, offering a one-stop shop for all things cycling in Victoria’s high country – covering rail trails, road riding and mountain biking. And here’s a little video from the site about our backyard.
In the words of the talent: “Every time you leave the village at Mt Buller … it’s an epic adventure. The trails are tough but rewarding. And there’s not many places in Australia where you get a 1000m descent, all the way to the valley floor. Always big days!
