Dumping in March!

5th • Mar • 2017

Can you believe it? It’s been dumping … in March! At least two metres of snow, by the look of it. In fact, it’s Buller’s whizz-bang new snowmaker at work – churning out “huge” volumes of snow, even in the middle of summer. Little wonder resort management and the lift company are GUARANTEEING snow on Bourke Street for opening weekend. Exciting stuff! (And that’s our very own Paul Richmond in the photo, if you’re wondering.)

It’s a wrap …

22nd • Sep • 2016

It was an eventful winter in more ways than one. The snow came in fits and bursts, and there was plenty of wind and rain along the way … but the season surged well into September, which was fantastic! And there were some cracking moments along the way, like the breaking of this dawn on July 15th. Winter may be over, but don’t forget the lodge is available throughout the summer … for riding, hiking or just getting away from it all. Otherwise, see you all next year!

Best on mountain?

Wow … what a shot! Taken very early this morning by our hut manager, Paul Richmond, also one of Buller’s finest snowmakers.

We’re now offering al fresco dining options. What a table … built by our very own Marty Wolfenden … and big enough to double as a dance floor!

Bike Buller Recomends Iltis

16th • Jan • 2014

Following the installation of a very impressive bike wash-down station in front of the lodge, and the conversion of the drying room into a secure bike storage room, ILTIS received the BIKE BULLER RECOMMENDS stamp of approval in January 2014. It means we’re one of the first four venues at Mt Buller that are officially recognized by the mountain as being bike friendly. It also means we get to fly a bright orange flag out the front of the lodge during the bike season. Could be the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the club!
